Products & Producers
At Pharlanne Deli we stock a wide variety of gourmet delicatessen food and wine sourced from artisan producers : locally in the Scottish Borders, regionally from various areas of Scotland and Great Britain, as well as from the Continent : France, Spain, Italy, Greece. Our range is sourced from artisan producers using traditional methods and quality ingredients, hence the authenticity. The full range is available in our delicatessen shop in Kelso and before long you will also be able to order online.
The Cheese Counter
Visit our Cheese Counter to see our range of artisan cheeses. We stock the staple favourites on a regular basis such as Border Brie (a lovely local cheese), Duddleswell and the ever popular Isle of Mull Cheddar, as well as the seasonal delight Vacherin Mont d’Or. To cope with individual dietary needs, we always ensure our range contains a good variety of Cow, Ewe and Goat’s milk cheeses, and both pasteurised and unpasteurised cheeses. If you are looking for cheese in the Kelso and the Scottish Borders then why not give our cheese counter a look, you wont be disappointed.
The Deli Counter
In our deli counter we offer a good choice of cured meats, including Parma Ham 18 month PDO, Chorizo, Salami, and Saucisson. Our hotel kitchen provides us with signature cooked ham, pates, rillettes, pastrami and ox tonge. In addition, we have a variety of flavoured mix olives and pickles, crackers and bread.... all you need to create a platter.
The Bread Stand
You can't escape the gorgeous smell of our daily home-baked bread as soon as you step in the shop - All our bread is made daily in our kitchen, startin at 5 am to be ready when the shop opens at 10am. Our bread is 100% natural ingredients... No Preservatives... and yet it will keep fresh for a number of days - The range includes Granary and White large & small loaf, Beer & Oatmeal Bloomer, all butter Brioche for the week-end, muffins, brownies, madeleines, shortbread.
Store Cupboard Essentials
If you’re looking for that slightly unusual chef’s ingredient, or need just a small quantity of something, then the store-cupboard area of our shop is what you need : Spices, aromatics, herbs, olive oils, marinated olives, capers, flours to name a few. Our organic Beluga Lentils are a favourite with our regular customers, as well as Cous Cous, Polenta, Rice, and beautifully presented Italian Pasta’s. We stock a wide variety of jams, chutney’s, preserves and biscuits from around the country, as well as the delicious Henshelwoods chutney from the Isle of Bute, perfect with meat and cheese. We also stock the very popular Coffee we use in our café, sold either in bean form or grounded.
Wines & Spirits
We have a fantastic range of selected wines from around the world. In particular, our French wines comes directly from our family vineyards - In addition, we have a range of spirits , including the Highland Queen whisky blend and Majesty Malts. You can only buy from us in the UK - Now, that's truly unique.
